Hi guys! So, I picked up the Covergirl truNaked Roses palette about a month and a half ago and I’ve been using it consistently since then!
Shades from left to right:
Almond: is a light matte pink. I use this to set my eyelid primer and as a browbone highlight.
Champagne: is a light pink shimmer that I often use as a lid color. The same shade is also featured in the Nudes palette.
Baby: is a very light matte mauve. It looks lighter on the lids than it does in the pan. I use this as a transition color.
Rose Gold: is a stunning shimmery rose gold with a pinkish- peach base. This looks beautiful all over the lids.
Copper Rose: is a matte mid-toned mauve that looks great in the crease. It is darker and more purple than baby.
Dusk: is dark slightly shimmery mauve. I often use this in my crease, on the outer corners of my lid, or as a shadow liner.
Mauvergine: is a grey purple brown with some shimmer. I usually use this in the creaseor as a shadow liner.
Mousse: is a slightly darker and more red-toned than dusk. Mousse has some shimmer in it, but when you first purchase this there is also a more shimmery overspray on this shade. I use this on the corners of the lid, in the crease, or as a shadow liner.
Overall I like this palette, all of the shades are blendable and pigmented. I really like that these shades are made to be used both wet and dry. I recommend that if you are using the shimmery lid shades dry that you put them over a glitter glue (both elf and nyx have awesome ones) or a cream base of some sort. This will help with intensity and staying power :)
The only downsides of this shadow formula are that the shadows need to be worn with a primer for them to look good all day and even when they are worn over a primer they tend to move and blend with each other.
Have you tried out this palette? What do you think of it?
