Hey guys,
Over the next two weeks I’ll be testing out a recipe planning site called Mealtime.
For the next month my best friend Ali and I are trying out a flexitarian diet for one of her exercise science classes. I was already trying to eat healthier this year, but I find it difficult and time consuming to try to plan out a week's worth of balanced meals. So I was actually really excited when she asked if I wanted to do this with her because doing a diet with someone and for a class motivates me.
Mealtime essentially plans out a week's worth of dinners for me and gives me a grocery list for the week. The grocery list itself is broken into categories to make it easier to look at and find all of the items on the list. To set up an account the website will ask you for your email and it will ask about some of your eating preferences. It asks about allergies, dislikes, and eating style (for example vegetarian). It also offers a 14 day free trial (no credit card necessary). After the 14 days you can choose one of three payment plans.
Quarterly: 20$ a month / 60$ every three months
Semi-Annually: 16$ a month / 96 every six months
Annually: 12$ a month / 144 a year
I wish that Mealtime would also plan out lunch and breakfasts for me, but I think this will still be extremely useful and a great way to help encourage a better diet.
Have any of you tried Mealtime? Do you like it? Do you have any recommendations for a similar type of site?
